$60K Raised In Less Than 24 Hours For Family Of Slain PA State Police Officer

A community is rallying for the family of a Pennsylvania State Police officer who was allegedly stabbed to death on a hiking by a Maryland.

Off-duty PA State Police Liquor Enforcement Officer, Benjamin J. Brallier, age 44, of Kennedy Township, formerly of Moon Township, was found stabbed while running near near the 1900 block of Hassam Road on Montour Trail on Monday, Oct. 21 at 2:52 p.m., as Daily Voice previously reported. He later died in an area hospital. 

Anthony Alexi "Antonia" Quesen also known as Antonia Kaseim, 25, of Baltimore, MD, has been arrested and charged with criminal homicide, according to his court docket. He has been held in the Allegheny County Jail with bail per state law on the charges.  

Benjamin had been a member of the Pennsylvania State Police for over 20 years, a PSP commissioner told the press. 

In his spare time liked to listen to the Dave Matthews Band, go camping at Pymatuning State Park, and vacation in the Outer Banks, according to his obituary posted by Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care.

"His kindness, laughter, and infectious spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him," as stated in his obituary. 

He is survived by his wife of 16 years Sarah, their two daughters a sister, extended family, friends, and coworkers, as detailed in his obituary.

"While Sarah is an extremely strong woman, there will be many hardships that arise as she navigates the months to come," family friend Valeria wrote in a GoFundMe she launched to help the Brallier family. "These funds will ensure that Sarah and her girls can navigate those hardships a little easier."

Friends and family are invited to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township on Saturday, Oct. 26 starting at 2 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 6 p.m.
